#Goals – Dirge

The former members of the Circle Jerks and Bad Religion along with Rodcore have created a new group #Goals.  My son Roland and I had an opportunity to appear in the video for Dirge on their upcoming EP release.

Slouching towards Bethlehem

Song inspired by W.B. Yeats and Rozz Williams

Picture of Rozz Williams (Christian Death) Edward Stapleton and Gerardo Valezquez (Nervous Gender) taken 1982 by Ave Pildas.

The Second Coming ( Fire and Fury)

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born

Christofascist

Matt Comeione – Music
Edward Stapleton – vocals
Karene Stapleton – lyrics

Waiting in the shadows
the clock is striking three
the time of the arrival comes
for my nemesis and me

Christofascist

I pray to my St. John
on whose cross I stiffly stand
Balancing myself
Half punished, half damned

Christofascist

The mystery is over
the Nightshade takes effect
I’ll not be here tomorrow
a few hours to forget

If You Meet The Buddha On The Road, Kill Him

It actually comes from an old koan attributed to Zen Master Linji, (the founder of the Rinzai sect).Iconoclasm
Linji is reputed for being iconoclastic, leading students to awakening by hitting and shouting. “See the darkness, hear the silence, find your peace with inner violence
Then should you meet the Buddha as you walk along your road
You can kill the fake impostor as the story has been told”…Anon.

Baby Going Down

Baby going down.

I always wanted to do whats wrong
and I always thought I was so strong
Nothing could catch me, Nothing brought me down
No one could stop me
Queen of our town and now I’m gone
And now I am gone
I stepped into the water below
A place I knew I shouldn’t go
Didn’t listen to my mama
Didn’t listen to my pop
Now I’m lost and I don’t know how to stop
And I’m gone, sweet Jesus, I am gone
The river is slow the river is deep
and now little baby’s floating fast asleep
In death, sweet baby is dead
Baby going up baby coming down
Baby, baby six feet under ground
Sweet baby is dead, sweet baby is dead
